Bharat Darshan Mobike Rally 2010-2011 by Orissa State Branch, Rourkela Unit has Successfully Completed the Rally.

On the completion of 63rd Independence Day, Orissa State Branch, and Rourkela unit has successfully completed the BHARAT DARSAN Mobike Rally from Rourkela to Wagah Border and back which was started from 19.12.2010 to 13.01.2011.The rally covered 14states in 27 days with 63 participants in 27 mo-bikes with an ambulance and an Ekta Rath (A decorated Tableau) by sending the message to all the citizens of this country of “Peace, Progress and Prosperity through Non-violence” with a vow to defeat the few vested interest of foul design of breaking the geographical boundary of our Mother India.

The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik welcomed the Motor Cycle Bharat Rally named as Bharat Darshan Mobike rally. The rally was started from Rourkela covering, Cuttack, Puri, Bhuneshwar, Bhadrak, Kharagpur, Kolkata, Durgapur, Sasram, Banaras, Allahabad, Kanpur, Agra and reached Delhi on 29-12-2010 (Wednesday) at about 7.00 pm in the premises of International Youth Hostel. Our National Chairman Dr.Harish K. Saxena, Mr. Prasad B Hanchate (CEO, YHAI), Ms. Nishi Rawat (Manager, IYHF) and all the YHAI National office staff met with all the participants and welcomed them with flowers. All the participants shared their views and journey experiences with National Chairman. The next day the rally was honorable by chief minister of New Delhi on 31.12.2010 and other dignitaries. On 01.01.2011 International Youth Hostel Delhi celebrated the New Year party with all the participants with cake, sweet and snacks. Dr. Harish K. Saxena, National Chairman of YHAI & Chairman, National Youth Hostel Trust flagged off the rally on 01-01-2011 at about 9.30 am from International Youth Hostel.

From there on the rally continued its journey to Wagah Border via Ambala. Upon return from the border the rally passed through Gangapur, Kota, Bhopal, Bilaspur, Sambalpur and return to the starting point Rourkela on 13th January. The journey though exhausting but was enthralling as it was once in a lifetime opportunity for the participants. The rally crisscrossed 14 states spreading the message of “Peace, Progress and Prosperity through Non-violence” and was well received by everyone including prominent personalities like Chief Ministers of few states – Orissa, Delhi etc
