Adventure for Girls- Mountain Biking Kullu to Khardungla (18,380 ft., the highest motorable road in the world)

Greetings from Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI)

Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI) , a non-profit organization, is one of the only few national bodies recognized by central as well as state governments with presence in 23 states and 250+ districts having a membership base of more than one million.

YHAI is organizing Countrywide Trekking Expeditions in the various parts of the country for the last 40 years in which 50,000+ participants takes part annually. In 2009 YHAI conducted National Motor Bike Expedition from Delhi to Khardungla (18,380 ft, the highest motor able road in the world) and back to Delhi that covered 2500 Kms distance. 110 participants took part in this expedition. On the same lines another expedition – Mountain Cycling Expedition was done from Kullu to Khardungla with 108 participants. In the History of Adventure sports, this was the first time Motor Bike & Mountain Biking Expeditions were organized with such a large number of group (107 motor bikers (motor cyclist) & 108 Mountain bikers (cyclist)} to Khardungla la, Leh (J&K). Limca Book of Records has included this prestigious events in their 2011 Edition

This year YHAI has announced to organize a new program exclusively for Girls.

Note: Selection will be based on physical fitness of the participants.
